CLOWN SCARES AWAIT

Just when we thought last weekend's $117 million box office success of horror film "IT" was freaky enough to question society's obsession with an evil clown, the infamous Los Angeles Haunted Hayride announced it will capitalize on that obsession with this year's hayride experience themed "Clown".

The annual Hayride, founded by Melissa Carbone, an LA resident who started with elaborate Halloween decorations at her Westside residence years ago, will return to Griffith Park this month and promises to return with the most thrilling ride yet, featuring four zones: Haunted Hayride, House of Shadows, Trick Or Treat, and Purgatory. The hayride is set to slither through Griffith Park's Old Zoo, where guests will be met with "a legion of vicious clowns waiting with more psychopathic fun than any wagon can handle," says Carbone's production company, Ten Thirty One.

"Hayride fans have been asking us to bring back the Clown Tent Finale for years. We just couldn't escape it. Once we started, we got so sucked into this rabbit hole of incredible clown content that we couldn't just do one finale scene," explains Carbone. "So we decided to take the number one fan favorite experience of our entire history and make it the entire 30-acre attraction."

The attraction will begin Sept. 29 and remain open select nights until October 31. Operating hours will be Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 7pm- 10:30pm and Fridays and Saturdays from 7pm-12am. General Admission is $44 and VIP passes that allow front-of-line access are $62. A limited number of Hayride Only Passes are on sale for $35. Those are expected to sell out soon. Tickets are available at www.losangeleshauntedhayride.com
